My 21 day fix extreme experience and progress

I just finished up my first round of the 21 day fix extreme.  I decided to go with the countdown to competition meal plan.  Was it hard? ABSOLUTELY!  Did I follow it 100%?  Absolutely NOT! The countdown to competition meal plan was definitely a learning experience for me.  It made me realize I definitely have some vices that I need to work on.  I LOVE wine, peanut butter and chocolate and I have a really hard time giving them up.

A day in the life (21 DFX)

I am almost 1 week into the 21 day fix extreme competition meal plan and I definitely see results already.  I will share my 1 week progress pictures/measurements/weights later this week.  But, looking at the meal plan I thought I would have a really hard time with the competition meal plan days, but I surprisingly like them because I get to eat a decent amount of food.  I get 6 proteins on those days and the first day I definitely ate 4 of those proteins by 1 PM because thought I would have a hard time fitting them all in and I would be stuffed.  But the opposite has actually happened Im starving by the time I need my next protein.  This definitely has shown me that I probably wasn’t eating enough protein before.  I look forward to my Extreme meal plan days because I get to add my banana and avocados back in.  Having the banana in my shakeo is the best part of my day!!!

21 day fix vs. 21 day fix extreme

Are you wondering what the difference is between the REGULAR 21 day fix and 21 day fix EXTREME????

Honestly, NOT as much as I expected.  I am pleasantly surprised, its going to be hard don’t get me wrong.  But, Im ready to push myself for 21 days! With 8 weddings coming up (one of them in Chicago yay mini trip), a trip to Nashville, mini stay-cations, and SUMMER, Im ready to rock a bikini proudly and hopefully some abs!

Shrimp and Veggies in a Basil Avocado Sauce over Zucchini Noodles

Since I started back on my Clean Eating 21 day fix meal plan again, my goal has been to make a few new recipes that I haven’t made before.  I saw a recipe for the Basil Avocado Sauce and figured I would throw it over zucchini noodles.  I used my veggetti or you can use a spiralizer, if you don’t have one yet you should definitely get one!

2015 New Years Resolutions


Every year I make a list of ALL the things I want to accomplish.  I usually put my list in a place I can see it everyday so I have a reminder.  This year I will be printing out my list and posting it in my workout room so I can see it every morning.  I always make at least 10 New Years Resolutions but this year I have more and Im excited to cross every single thing off my list!
