If you know me at all you know I’m a HUGE goal setter! I set weekly, monthly and yearly goals, its pretty much what makes me tick and I keep pushing until I hit those goals even if it takes me YEARS.
While goal setting is awesome and a great habit to get into sometimes I forget to celebrate the goals I’ve already achieved and ENJOY it. There are SO many days I’m so focused on what goals I haven’t hit that I rarely stop to enjoy what I already have achieved.
Something I started to do every morning is writing down 3 things that I am grateful for and ending the day with something amazing that happened. NO I don’t sit and journal for 30 minutes every morning (I’m a very busy Mom) but I did buy something called “The 5 Minute Journal” and it takes approximately 5 minutes and has great prompts to start and end my day on the right foot!
This has helped me find a happy medium between enjoying what I currently have, celebrating the successes I have already accomplished, & reminding myself to be grateful WHILE still striving to hit those future goals (which I still have A LOT of by the way)!
